Lummie Jones was born in South Dakota and
grew up in the Richmond area before marrying Ralph and moving to Powhatan
in 1977. Always involved with helping others, from a teenager as a 'Candy
Striper' at local hospital, to working with CHILDREN AT RISK TODAY, a
non-profit organization fighting youths involvement with alcohol, drugs and
other unhealthy risky behaviors, to working to build a YMCA in Powhatan,
Lummie enjoys working with people.

After attending college she worked as a
computer programmer and then for an insurance company before staying home with
sons, Keith and Rodney. Lummie was introduced to real estate working as a
part time bookkeeper. It wasn't long before Lummie caught the bug, had her
license, and was on her way to making her career in real estate. From her first
year in the business, when her company named her "1984 Rookie of the Year", to
today, where she continues to be recognized yearly as a "Distinguished
Achiever" by the Richmond Board of Realtors, Lummie continues to find her work
rewarding and fun. Lummie became a partner of Napier Realtors ERA in 1990,
received her Associate Brokers license, and today manages the Powhatan office
and the company's New Home's division. Her teams of award winning agents are
professional and experienced and look forward to helping buyers and sellers
achieve their real estate goals.
Thankful for the opportunities she has
been able to experience through her professional career, Lummie knows her
awards and achievements are a direct result of the support and referrals she
receives from past clients.
Family and friends are important to
Lummie and when not helping buyers and sellers, or working on community causes,
you will find Lummie enjoying their company. Talking about her
grandchildren, Samantha, RJ, Jason and Jonathan will always bring a smile and a
story. Helping Ralph at home or traveling to new places is fun for Lummie. Many
times you will find Lummie enjoying a day in Powhatan with friends on the rocks
in the James River, working in her yard with husband Ralph or having a dinner
party with friends.
"I love the business and enjoy meeting
new people. As I've said - the neat thing about this business is I haven't
met my next friend yet and each day that opportunity exists. Whether you are
moving across town or across the world I would love to help you find the
answers you need to make your next move smooth and pleasant."

Financing Your Home >New Loans
If you are considering applying for a mortgage to purchase a new home or to refinance your present home, don't delay. Despite fluctuation in interest rates, lenders are still processing many new loan applications.
You should gather all the necessary paperwork before you apply, and submit your loan application as soon as possible. At a minimum, the information required by a lender will consist of proof of your earnings and a clear picture of your total monthly income and expenses. If you are self-employed, or have long-term obligations such as alimony or child support, the preparation time and the amount of paperwork increases.
Despite the need to move rather quickly for a mortgage in today's market, you should "make haste carefully." Shop carefully for your loan by comparing all costs and terms. With the number of lenders vying for your business, new and better deals are always appearing.
